Islalink and Nokia have achieved a significant milestone by successfully testing Nokia’s sixth-generation Photonic Service Engine (PSE-6s) over the 330km submarine cable, IONIAN, between Crotone, Italy, and Preveza, Greece. This trial set a new capacity-reach record for 800Gbps transmission on the IONIAN cable system.
